Cabarrus Meals on Wheels is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible. We are a United Way member agency. We rely on contributions from United Way, individuals, civic and faith organizations, corporations, client fees, and grant funds in order to operate our program. Our funding breakdown for 2007: 25% Fundraising Income 22% Client Fees 22% Grant funds 19% United Way funds 6% Church and Civic Group support 3% Corporate support 2% Individual support 1% Interest/Misc. Grants in 2007 were received from: Sister's of Mercy Foundation of North Carolina City of Concord Community Block Grant City of Kannapolis Community Block Grant Concord Rotary Cabarrus Rotary Wal-Mart, Kannapolis and Concord Sam's Club, Kannapolis Food Lion Mariam Schramm Foundation Dunford Women's Fund Cabarrus Helping Hearts and Hands (Ch3) Annual Campaign Philip Morris Employee Community Fund Presbytery of Charlotte - 5¢ a Meal
