Founded in 1974, our program has grown over the years to include all of Cabarrus County. Hunger among our senior neighbors remains a serious issue. One out of every four seniors goes hungry everyday.
They suffer from a variety of disabilities such as severe arthritis, blindness, and heart disease leaving them frail and physically unable to prepare their own meal.

March 2010 Walmart Foundation Grant to Meals On Wheels Association of America to Help Feed Hungry Seniors at Cabarrus Meals on Wheels Cabarrus Meals on Wheels has been awarded $15,000 through a Walmart Foundation grant to the Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA). The money will provide Cabarrus Meals on Wheels with much-needed kitchen equipment, which is critical to continue serving seniors in our neighborhoods. |
